SCAT (Satellite & Cable TV) India Show - India's largest exhibition for the Indian Satellite, Cable TV, DTH, Broadband and IPTV industry, which was acquired by NürnbergMesse India earlier this year; will transition to a digital model for the year 2020.
The event, now in its 29th year has been THE meeting point for the Stakeholders of the Indian Satellite, Cable TV, DTH & Broadband industry. The digital version of the event will ensure that the interactions and discussions continue, amidst these unprecedented times.
Sonia Prashar, Chairperson of the Management Board & Managing Director, NürnbergMesse India Pvt Ltd said, “Along with SCAT 2020, co-located events Broadcast India and Content India, will also be digitally hosted, providing three days of seamless networking experience. With the SCAT 2020 – ‘WE GO DIGITAL’ EDITION, we aim to establish a forum which will keep the stakeholders engaged through dialogue & discussions. The event will enable the Industry to remain connected, albeit in a different format, while setting the stage for innovation and future planning
The acquisition of SCAT and the launch of Content India Show is part of our well-rounded strategy to create an all - encompassing experience for the Exhibitors and visitors of the rapidly growing infotainment Industry and by presenting all the three entities on a common digital umbrella platform of A.B.I.S – Asia’s Broadcasting & Infotainment Industry, we will be able to provide our audience a highly interactive, networking and knowledge sharing platform”.
Sudeep Malhotra and Dinyar Contractor, founders of the SCAT 2020, are convinced of the excellent synergy the three events derive and present, “India is now the world’s 2nd largest consumer of internet data and also in terms of broadband users. Due to the pandemic, need for fibre optic distribution has increased multifold, thus providing further impetus to this already growing Industry. SCAT 2020 will cover an important sub-segment of the broadcast & broadband industry and by being integrated under the A.B.I.S. umbrella, the audience will have an opportunity to experience latest trends and innovations in the Industry at large. The decision to move the event into a digital space would enable us to create online experiences which will redefine the way information is shared, while allowing the Stakeholders to engage in new and unique ways”, they concluded.
The SCAT 2020 – ‘WE GO DIGITAL’ EDITION is being hosted on a platform, which is designed to engage the participants by offering them access to an exclusive online forum featuring exhibitor product information, announcements and demos. Attendees will get an opportunity to interact with
companies representing almost every vertical of the broadcast, entertainment and technology industries.
Delegates to the conference program can expect a good mix of live as well as pre-recorded sessions, interactive panel discussions via Q & A chat conversations, masterclass sessions, while exhibitors can showcase their products, build conversations and have one-to-one meetings with registered attendees; thus making this event the logical extension of the physical event
SCAT 2021 will resume as a physical event from 21 -23 October 2021 at Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai, India. So, lets e-meet before we re-meet !
